Fat does not make you fat.
Are you ever confused over what are good fats and what are bad fats?

Hmmm, low-fat cookies, low-fat ice cream, low-fat cotton candy! Are low fat foods really life-giving, God foods? Since the advent of today’s processed, low-fat foods which began gaining popularity in the early 80’s, our country’s obesity levels have skyrocketed along with the incidence of diabetes. Low-fat foods lead the list of the most processed and altered foods.
When food manufacturers remove fat from foods or make a food with little or not fat, more sweeteners, food additives, preservatives, colorings and artificial ingredients are used in an attempt to make the food “taste” good and get you to eat it. Thus ending up with a food with more calories, more carbohydrates, and more ways to destroy your health.
Our bodies need fat. If we removed all fat from our diet, we would do what the first three letters of that word describe–die! The question lies in what are the good fats that we should be eating. We’ve been fed more “falsehoods.” Good fats come in the form of foods that God made. Avocados, real butter (not margarine), extra virgin olive oil, virgin coconut oil, and yes, egg yolks! Eggs do not cause high cholesterol levels, by the way. Another myth of modern day!
Healthy, saturated fats are not the “dietary demons” that we’ve been led to believe. According to God’s Word and anthropological evidence from past civilizations, and recent scientific research, saturated fats play a crucial role in body chemistry and in maintaining optimal health.
