“Goat’s milk has long been known as a rejuvenator and a moisturizer of human skin.  Goat’s milk is the only milk containing capric-capryllic triglyceride which helps moisturize the skin, contributing to its softness.”   Unknown

In what ways are you entrepreneurial?

And thou shalt have goats’ milk enough… ( Proverbs 27:27a; KJV)

One of the many blessings in our lives is a family of ten.  This family has eight biological children who are all unique and special in their own way.  Several years ago the family became “farmers” on a small-scale basis when they purchased a few goats.

The oldest daughter, Abby, is now 18.  We’ve known Abby since she was a little girl.  She has always been a sweet child with a strong servant’s heart.  She’s worked as a camp counselor and has been an assistant manager at a petting farm.  Abby can literally “run” the household when necessary.  She’s a great cook and can plan and implement a meal for twenty people.

She also enjoys music and has studied piano for over twelve years, and violin for seven years.  She plays beautifully!  After the family bought the goats, they had a surplus of milk.  A friend of the family who had been making soap for years eagerly began showing Abby how she could make soap from the excess milk.

Abby has become quite the entrepreneur.  Over two years ago she developed her business called Goats’ Milk Enough.  She has designed her own website along with making all of the soap by hand.  She uses the fresh goat’s milk from their animals, and then adds essential oils (from plants) and other raw ingredients.  She uses a cold process as opposed to heating the mixture.  Once the batch of soap is made, it is placed into molds and allowed to harden.  Then it’s cut by hand and allowed to cure for several weeks before packaging.

I continually talk about how to eat in a more healthy way.  What we put inside our bodies is extremely important.  However, since our skin is our largest organ, it’s also very critical that we use the very best ingredients on our skin.  What we put on our skin is absorbed into the body.  (That’s a topic for another day.)  Suffice it to say that Abby’s soap has no preservatives, colorings, or artificial ingredients that will compromise the skin.

We’ve been the blessed receivers of some of Abby’s soap.  Not only does it smell delicious, it helps to make our skin feel soft and moisturized.  She has several yummy smelling choices.  I love the lavender, lemongrass, and Christmas delight varieties.  She recently added chocolate mint (and yes it smells like chocolate) and pumpkin pie.  She has several other varieties as well.

So, as you plan your gift giving for this season, think about someone you could bless with a special and unique gift of homemade, handmade soap by an industrious young woman.

Prayer Power
