Chocolate Cherry Almond Smoothie
Ingredients
1 can (13 to 14 ounce)
organic coconut milk (or milk of your choice)
1/4 cup
organic cocoa powder
1/4 cup
almond butter *
3 tbs
agave nectar or raw honey
1/2 tsp
almond extract
1 1/2 cup
frozen dark sweet cherries

Description
Try this smoothie for a dessert or as a treat. This is not a typical breakfast smoothie.
Instructions
Pour coconut milk into blender. Add cocoa powder and blend together until mixed. Add almond butter, almond extract and agave nectar and blend until smooth. Then add frozen cherries. Make certain that blender lid is on tight and blend until mixture is smooth and frosty.
Notes
Almond butter is made from almonds instead of peanuts and is easier to digest. It's similar in texture to peanut butter and it comes in smooth or crunchy. It's found in the aisle with peanut butter and other nut butters.
